The FBC worship ministry exists to magnify the greatness of God on Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit by skillfully combining God's Word with music, thereby motivating the gathered church to proclaim the gospel, to cherish God's presence, and to live for God's glory.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir is a great way to glorify God and serve the FBC faith family. We lead Cornerstone worship weekly and present other special presentations during the year.

know this

Not everyone in the choir reads music, not everyone is a soloist, and only a few members have musical training! Come on and give choir a try – no risk, no obligation!

Adult Choir rehearsals every Wednesday from 6:45-8:15pm in the choir room. Childcare is available.

get involved

Just show up to a rehearsal! Guests can just come on into the choir room where you'll be greeted, given a music packet and a place to sit with your voice part section (with some really nice people).

Joyful Sound Choir

Joyful Sound members are mostly over the age of 50, and most are retired and active. We sing in church occasionally but often in local retirement homes, and other venues in Tifton.

The term "Joyful Sound" does not mean that everyone sings on pitch. BUT, we do all sing with joy!

Joyful Sound rehearses on Thursdays from 10:30-11:45am and usually finds a place to eat lunch afterwards.

Kid’s Choirs

We offer preschoolers and elementary aged children from 3-years to 5th grade the opportunity to have fun and learn how to praise Jesus through music.

Our preschool choirs meet Wednesday evening at 6pm. These 3-, 4-, and 5-year-old choirs are filled with fun activities that help guide them in worship. Each of them is led by committed and wonderful volunteers who have a special place in their hearts for these children and who strive to make sure they are engaged as they learn to sing of the love of Jesus.

Our 1-5th grade students meet each Sunday afternoon from 4:45-5:45 in the choir room. They not only learn to sing but are also devoting a portion of each rehearsal to learning to play the ukulele. The Children’s Choir will help lead Sunday worship occasionally, as well as presenting musicals in the Spring and at Christmas.

Band/Worship Team

We have two worship bands that lead worship each Sunday. Our Cornerstone band leads worship in the Cornerstone service in the Sanctuary each Sunday at 9:00am. If you are interested in becoming a part of this group, please contact Jennifer at musicsec@fbctifton.org.
