Text giving is available using your smart phone. Simply text the word “funds” to our dedicated phone number (229) 513-1220 and you will be given a list of “funds” to which you make contribute. Then follow the steps below to complete your gift:

1. Enter the amount you would like to donate (in whole numbers with no dollar sign or decimal) followed by a space and the full name of the selected fund. Note: be sure to type in the full name of the fund (ie. “budget-SBC”)
2. If you are a first-time, texting donor you will be prompted to visit our secure URL site.
3. Click the registration link and enter your debit or credit card information.
4. At this point your donation will process.
5. You will receive a confirmation text showing your donation and registration were successful.
6. If you need assistance you may text the word “help”.

Stock
First Baptist Church is prepared to receive your gifts of stock and other securities. We have a local brokerage account and we would be glad to assist you with your transaction. It is our policy to liquidate stocks immediately upon receipt and we have a number of donors who give stock on a regular basis.

Planned Giving
Planned Giving utilizes legal avenues such as wills and trusts to facilitate giving to First Baptist for years to come. We currently have over $900,000 in endowed funds that benefit a variety of ministries such as seminary education scholarships, senior adult nutrition, missions, and memorial chapel upkeep. If you are considering a gift of this nature, let us know and we will be glad to assist you in the process.

Memorials
Memorial Giving is a wonderful way to honor/remember someone special and to support the various ministries of First Baptist Church. Many people use Memorial Giving to give something extra, above and beyond their tithe, and support a particular ministry of the church. While you are free to designate a Memorial gift, it is not required. Undesignated Memorial gifts are placed in our General Memorial Fund and used as needed by our Memorial Committee.
If you would like to make a Memorial gift, please be sure to include a note with your check that identifies the person you are giving in honor or memory of and the designated fund of your choice, if any. Upon receipt of your gift the church will send an acknowledgment card to the person or their family on your behalf.
