Job Description:
This position will provide tactical support and administrative assistance to the Kids Minister for Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Big Kids Ministry events. The Kids Ministry Associate assists the Kids Minister in executing a ministry strategy that disciples children. Job duties are listed as guidelines and may be modified at any time to accommodate the needs of the ministry area.
  • Under the supervision of the Kids Minister, schedule, follow up with, and coordinate the Worship Care Ministry.
  • Supplement WNK Preschool Lessons with a craft or a game.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Kids Ministry Investors and parents.
  • Serve as the co-director for VBS with direct oversight of the decorating team.
  • Greet, register, and direct members and guests at the preschool welcome desk on Sunday mornings. Serve as a co-leader of WNK, assisting where needed.
  • Assist with inventorying supply rooms and shop monthly for Kids Ministry supplies.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the Preschool Ministry area, including weekly sanitation practices on baby - toddler room toys.
  • Assist with preparation for all Big Kids Ministry events. Attend and assist with all church-wide events.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Kids Minister to pray, plan, and prepare for ministry.
  • Utilizing the prepared supply lists and lesson plans, prepare supply bins for WNK classes.
  • Oversee the creative elements of FBC Kids: utilize Canva to design content for FBC Kids Facebook and Instagram and contribute to the decor of the Kids Ministry.
  • Assist with Fuse Preteen Ministry.
  • Fill in for the Kids Minister in the event of illness, vacation, etc.
  • Growing relationship with Jesus.

  • Ability to fully embrace the vision of FBC: Love God, Love People, Multiply Disciples.
  • Member or become a member of FBC.
  • Proven experience in administration.
  • Exhibits professionalism.
  • Ability to share the Gospel.
  • 3+ years working with children.
  • An organized self-starter.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Previous Kids Ministry staff experience preferred but not required.
  • 2 years of education preferred but not required.
